Central Appalachian coal producing regions.
BreitBurn Energy Partners (BBEP)
Owns oil and natural gas reserves in
the Los Angeles Basin in California, and in Michigan, Wyoming, Florida, Indiana
and Kentucky, and West Texas.
Dorchester
Minerals (DMLP)
Owns
producing and non- producing oil and natural gas interests in
574 counties and parishes in 25 states.
Constellation Energy Partners (CEP)
Formed by Constellation Energy in
2005, Constellation Energy Partners is a
limited liability company (LLC), which is similar to an MLP, except it
has no general partner. Constellation produces oil (2%) and natural gas
(98%), mostly from reserves acquired from Constellation Energy, which
sold its stake in Constellation E.P. in 2011. Constellation E.P.
suspended paying distributions in June 2009.
Encore Energy Partners (ENP)
A September 2007 IPO, Encore owns producing and non-producing oil and
natural gas properties in the Big Horn Basin in Wyoming and
Montana, the Williston Basin in North Dakota and Montana, the Permian
Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the Arkoma Basin in Arkansas and
Oklahoma. Vanguard Natural Resources is the Master Partner and owns 46%
of Encore's limited partner units.
EV Energy Partners (EVEP)
Formed by Enervest, Ltd., EV Partners is natural gas and oil
exploration and production partnership operating in the Barnett Shale,
the Appalachian Basin, the Mid Continent area, the San Juan Basin, the
Monroe field in Louisiana, the Permian Basin, Central and East Texas and
Michigan.
Legacy Reserves
(LGCY)
A January 2007 IPO, Legacy owns oil and gas deposits in the
Permian Basin of West Texas and southeast New Mexico.
Linn Energy (LINE)
Linn is an LLC (see Constellation Energy).
Owns natural gas reserves in the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma,
Michigan, and in the Los Angeles Basin.
LinnCo LLC (LNCO)
LinnCo is an LLC that has elected to be taxed as a corporation
for U.S. federal income tax purposes. Shareholders receive Form 1099 for
dividends. LinnCo has no assets or operations other than its ownership
of LINN (LINE) units.

LRR Energy (LRE)
A 2011 IPO, LRR owns
oil and natural gas properties, primarily in the Permian Basin. A unit
of Lime Rock Resources is general partner.
Memorial Production
Partners (MEMP)
Formed in April 2011, and a
December 2011 IPO, MEMP owns mature
onshore
oil and natural gas properties in South Texas and East Texas.
Memorial Resource Development LLC is the
general partner. General partner gets 15% of
distributable cash flow above $0.55/unit and 25% when above $0.59/unit.
Mid-Con Energy Partners (MCEP)
Formed in 2011 and a
December 2011 IPO, MCEP owns
oil and natural gas properties in Southern Oklahoma, Northeastern
Oklahoma, and parts of Oklahoma and Colorado within the Hugoton Basin.
Mid-Con
Energy GP is the general partner.
General partner is not entitled to incentive
distribution rights.
Natural
Resource Partners (NRP)
Owns,
but does not operate, coal properties in the Appalachia, Illinois Basin
and Powder River Basin areas of the US. NRP leases its properties to
mine operators.
Penn
Virginia Resource Partners (PVR)
Owns,
but does not operate, coal properties and related assets. PVR also
generates revenues from the sale of timber growing on its properties.
Also owns and operates natural gas gathering and processing facilities.
Pioneer Southwest Energy Partners (PSE)
A May 2008 IPO, Pioneer owns oil and natural gas reserves in Texas and
in southwest New Mexico.
QR Energy (QRE)
A December 2010 IPO, QR owns crude oil (70%) and natural gas (30%)
reserves in the Permian Basin, Ark-La-Tex, Mid-Continent and Gulf
Coast regions.
SandRidge Mississippian
Trust (SDT)
A December 2010 IPO formed by SandRidge Energy to own royalty interest
in its Oklahoma properties.
Vanguard Natural
Resources (VNR)
An October 2007 IPO, Vanguard owns
producing and non-producing natural gas and oil reserves located in the
southern portion of the Appalachian Basin, the Permian Basin and in
South Texas. In December
2010, Vanguard acquired the general partner of Encore
Energy Partners (ENP), and about 46% of Encore's limited partner units.
Encore will
continue to operate independently. Vanguard is organized as an LLC.
